I'm so excited to see him activated next week. Beginning of a new era I believe. Defense is just going to keep getting better. Special Teams too.

Totally agree.

I think we'll need to wait til next year to really see him make an impact.

A lot like Sean Lee.

And....it may not be until two years from now.

Get ready to hear "he's a bust" from knee-jerkers when he doesn't get a lot of playing time.

Yep low expectations. Just get through the season without an injury to prove that knee is 100%

Why? Bobby Carp had a pretty decent rookie season down the stretch and Carter looks to be a much better player.

Bobby Carpenter wasn't coming off a torn ACL either.

Those injuries take almost two years to recover from completely (physically and psychologically). He tore his last Nov.

He's a rookie, coming off a torn ACL, with very little practice time, and no training camp.

He may come in and tear it up.....but more than likely, he'll come back and need to be eased in.

If Carter can contribute anything right away, that would be gravy. The defense is shaping up pretty good. I know it was the Rams, dude, but that goal line stand could really carry over to the rest of the season. We'll see.

My expectations are high but I will not lose faith if he struggles. I know what he can be and am willing to give him a few years to get there.

No, I have high expectations. And when he doesn't get 15 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 INT, and 1 TD, I will claim he is a bust like how Sean Lee was last year. And then I will demand he be cut, and accuse our front office of being complete idiots.

/end sarcasm

Yeah, that's what I'm anticipating. A quick knee jerk reaction when he struggles for playing time initially.

If he can produce at all this year it's a bonus.

So the Bruce - Lee era in Dallas starts next week?

I see what you did tharr.:D

That being said, I see Carter as a Boley style of LB.
It'll be a good pairing with Lee, Carter will allow Lee to go anywhere he pleases ala Polomalu in the Steelers D.

Leave Carter in Coverage or as the Safe LB and let Lee loose to wreak havoc.

Carter the Bruce? Nah, just not the same as Robert the Bruce. I bet he would swing a mighty sword though.

You think it's funny, but it's not, because people will be that way.

The ACL stuff here couldn't be more wrong.
