Having heard any opinions on this lately, but I have to say that the new season has been awful. Nothing of interest happening with Vince, Eric in a tedious relationship with a girl who looks like she's 13, the same old antics from Drama, and Turtle becoming all sensitive and academic. Ari is good as usual, but he can't carry the show.

A huge disappointment!

That depends. Some are crazy good. Others... not so much. Those stands on the street that sell them in NYC. They very from stand to stand. I'm a big Gyro fan... when it's good. :)

I love Drama and his epic meltdowns.

I have a love/hate relationship with this show.

I've watched many of the episodes, probably most of them up until this past season. And at some point, I'll probably end up watching last season and even this season.

But deep down, I despise it. The characters are all D-bags. The show, while billed as a "comedy" really isn't that funny. It's repetitive and the plots are contrived.

It does have lots of good-looking girls on it who are usually half-naked, but other than that, I'm not sure why I watch it. I don't sympathize with, or even like, any of the characters. The only good acting, is from Drama and Ari, and they're really just playing themselves.

I was watching True Blood, but this past season got a bit tiresome, so I cancelled HBO.

HBO was really in a golden era with Sopranos, Deadwood, the Wire, and Curb, but now it's kinda in the doldrums.

I'm excited by what I hear from the new season of Curb, but I'll probably wait for it to hit DVD.

You can't live in NYC and not eat Gyros. It's part of living here.

I think of Sundays nights on HBO, as watching a movie. I watch all 3 shows that end up being 2 hours long(True Blood, Hung, Entourage). I've been an Entourage fan since Day 1, but right now, True Blood is my favorite show. Maybe, because it's an hour long instead of 20 minutes of Entourage/Hung. Too bad "The Wire" isn't on anymore, because that show was awesome. I still watch it OnDemand.

The Wire is one of my all time favorites.

Indeed. And then you now have Mad Men back on on Sundays as well. I ended up having to watch all the Sunday night shows spread out over Monday and Tuesday as well.

'True Blood' was a little bit tedious earlier in season 2, but the last half of the season has REALLY picked up. I really enjoy 'Hung' as well. I haven't gotten into 'Entourage' yet. Sundays are good TV days.

I thought this season of True Blood totally rocked. Really stepped it up from last season.

Hung has some spectacular writing. The whole Jemma (sp?) storyline is fantastic.

Well to be fair, it's next to impossible to meet the standard set by The Wire and The Sopranos. For me, hands down, the two best shows ever (can't figure out which is number 1.)

I have to say that I love True Blood and have been pleasantly surprised by Hung. Entourage, on the other hand, has really gone downhill and I think a lot of the points you make against it are valid.

I think the beginning of the Maryann storyline dragged on a bit before it got that interesting and the Tara and Eggs relationship just sucks the life force out of me. However, both have been much more interesting the last few episodes. The vampires in Dallas storyline and the Church of the Sun stuff was great, too.

And yes, that storyline with Ray and Jemma was really good. I really felt bad for the guy. On another 'Hung' note, it's only a matter of time before his ex-wife calls for a happiness consultation.

Agreed re: Maryann plot dragging early on, though on the whole it's been a pretty interesting storyline (to the point where I was looking online for spoilers). Anything Tara-related bores the piss out of me.

Jason "Rambo" Stackhouse was hilarious.

Tara is annoying but I think they've incorporated her character far more effectively this season. The whole plot with her mum and the spirit doctor in season 1 was beyond excruciating.

Another extremely disappointing episode of Entourage. Are the writers trying to write Vince out of the show? Even the stalker subplot smacks of mediocrity.

Get this True Blood garbage out of the Entourage thread. Thank you.

Go watch Twilight.
True Blood deserves its own thread. What I would like is for someone to explain to me how this has not been the worst season of Entourage yet.
