Well, that was certainly twelve pages worth of misplaced hatred. Oh well. They should focus all their hate at the Bidwells--although they were probably given a temporary reprieve after the Super Bowl appearance.

I did have a laugh over this tidbit:

http://forums.azcardinals.com/showpost.php?p=559937&postcount=4

As if the Cowboys franchise could ever approach the depths of Cardinal futility.

...and now a word from Bach. :)

You ask ANY fan of any other team who they hate the most, and 8 out of every 10 will say Dallas.

For the same reason that 8 out of 10 MLB folks will say the Yankees.
For the same reason that 8 out of 10 NASCAR folks will say Jeff Gordon.
For the same reason that 8 out of 10 NBA folks will say the Lakers or Celtics.

It's the obvious reason that will go unsaid at this point.................

It's a funny thing though. Everyone who hates Dallas does so out of envy.

The teams WE hate, it's usually a team and fans who desire to be Dallas and dream to be Dallas, but could NEVER be the Cowboys! We don't hate on the Steelers or the Niners as much as we hate on the Eagles. WE may not like it, but we give credit where credit is due. I don't "hate" the Skins or Giants as much as the Eagles, because those two have earned some modicum of begrudged respect. The Steelers, Patriots and Niners..........I don't like 'em, but you sound like an idiot in public if you don't fess up to their great years.

Personally, my "hate" list is a list of teams who suck, they beat Dallas a few times, and carry on like they just won the SB about it.

The Eagles are, by far, at the very top of this list.
New Orleans is now a charter member because of that game a few years back, the year of all the "Katrina/We're all Saints fans now" crap. They beat us and you'd swear the just won their 5th ring or something.
I can't stand Seattle either. The Cardinals are coming close to joining the club too. They're awful mouthy and full of themselves for being, so far, a once-every-century fluke.

Any loser franchise who circles their Cowboy game on their schedule as their "Super Bowl", I got no use for. They could go 3-13, and if they beat Dallas you never hear the end of it...................

Everyone loves to hate on the Cowboys, I really don't know why, but probably their mass popularity. It's pretty stupid actually.

I have a strong dislike for the Steelers, Giants and Philly, but don't necessarily HATE any teams. I just hate most of their fans because they are so arrogant. I try not to get caught up in it though because I'm not the one being paid millions to play a sport for a living. I just root for my teams and that's it.

:starspin

I do however, HATE, that other teams play us as if it's their Super Bowl. This will make it all the more sweeter whenever we do win again. Someday...

You should hear everyone down here. They honestly think they will be going back to the super bowl this year.

Once free agency and the salary cap hit in the early 90's, many pundits correctly prophesied that the day will come when we'll have to endure a "Browns vs. Cardinal" Super Bowl.

That day has come. Yeah, yeah, I know it was the Steelers. But, we were a blip away from a "Titan/Cardinal" blockbuster event!

Honestly now..............put yourself back (if you were around back then) in the 60's, 70's & 80's. Also include the early 90's Cowboys-rule time. You, me, anyone and everyone would've laughed you out of the building if you said that Tampa Bay would win a SB. That Seattle would even make it to a SB. The Cardinals? Please...................Baltimore (the aformentioned "Browns" of the world) even won a Super Bowl!

This Cardinal team is just the latest gaggle of talent who got hot at the right time, pieced a run together when it counted, and stumbled upon a SB appearance. The "poster boy" and classic case for free agency and salary cap "parity".

I'd be surprised if they go .500 next year.................

Here you go again with your "parity" b.s. Why don't we just do away with the Browns and the Cardinals of the league then so the popular successful teams could win EVERY YEAR. It would be like Basketball, yea that's REAL fun to watch.

OK! That would be fine with me.................

Listen, it ain't "b.s.". Just the facts ma'am, just the facts.

And YOU, as a Cowboy fan, SHOULD KNOW THAT!!

As I've said in the past............it's not a matter or right or wrong, good or bad, better or worse. It's a generational disagreement based upon nothing but preference. Some people enjoy the fact that any team could go in any given year. Whether they were 4-12 the previous year or 8-8, whatever, because that's the "state of the union".

As a lifer-Cowboy fan since 1964.............yeah, I admit it, I'm biased toward the old days of Dallas dominating game after game, year after year, decade after decade. Sorry. Forgive me. I confess! There, happy now?
I've exposed to you my "true colors". Sue me.

In my opinion, it's a very sad day for NFL football when the best team in the NFC are the Cardinals. Or Seattle. Or Tampa. It's my life and my opinion and my prejudices and my preferences. Of course, I'm on the losing side of this battle and have no say in the matter. I'm NOT going to NOT follow pro football and the Cowboys. So I'm stuck with this sad state of affairs.

I guess we could agree to disagree. Believe me, it's hard not having the boys win in forever. I was only 11 years old last time they won. It was exciting almost seeing the Cards take it last year because I like them as well.

I can see your point to an extent. I know I wouldn't mind at all if the Boys' dominated for a few years again, but like to see other teams get a shot at it as well.

I don't think the Cardinals were the best team last year at all. They just did what they had to do to get in and then turned it on. I think they thrived off of the doubts. IMO, if Romo hadn't gotten injured at the Cards game, Dallas probably would have gotten a spot and took revenge if they were able to get their stuff together.

Maybe now that T.O. is gone, the drama is behind us. I hope!

12 pages of nothing but jealousy. Just about everyone hates the Cowboys because we kept beating them every time and they now hate the Steelers. Pure jealousy.

T.O. is gone, but the drama is not.

Because, in Dallas, T.O. brought little to no drama except the debates that raged on boards like this. Practically speaking and on the record, T.O. did nothing in Dallas "off the field" worthy of his past accomplishments.

The biggest "drama" in Dallas, now that T.O. is indeed gone, is that this coaching staff is "on the clock". You saw the draft. I agree with how this draft went down, because we don't need any big splash "Heisman" guy to fix anything at any position. I love the third pick at QB, because THAT position was our weakest position depth-wise.

This coaching staff, a staff that I never agreed with the hiring of and STILL don't like, better get their stuff together this season. Because THAT, and Jerry's "thing", is the problem in Dallas. Not the talent. I've been "running cover for Jerry for 15 years, but as of last season, I just can't do it no more. I'm now officially on the the "Jerry's a meddling fool and part of the problem" team.

To tie this up and get back to the point, in this day and age in the NFL, you only get a small window to get it done. This Dallas team won't be the same team two years from now. Free agency and salary caps will pick this team apart one by one. You gotta' "strike while the irons hot" in todays NFL, and we got the horse's to do it................NOW. Actually, LAST YEAR was our best shot, and I hope not our last. Either way, come 2011, this team will be very different. Better? Worse? Who knows, but different.......

slotshot, you could pretty much go to any NFL teams message board, and you'd see the same answer. It's not just us, it's every one. For what it's worth, I have no prob with you guys and never did. A great deal of respect I have for your organization. Largely because my brother and one of best friends are Boys fans. Most of my Cards peeps hate you guys for kicking our azzes like clockwork when we were in the NFC east, and also the sheer number of Cowboys fans in AZ. When you stop to think about it, who can blame them. LOL!

lewpac, no need to explain good brother. We'll always agree to disagree, and that's okay. A little trash talk never hurt anyone. I know as a Cards fan among Cowboys fans, I should expect no favors. I'm a big boy. I can take it.
