Erasing the ghosts of opening days past...

We've lost five straight openers. Some were not so bad (2002 against Tampa Bay) but most were downright torturous (2000 "pickle juice" game, nuff said). The 2001 game against the expansion Texans was pretty bad as well. Last year was awful because you knew we were bad and going to be bad all year.

I think that's what makes this one all the more sweeter. We have a young team that made a ton of mistakes yesterday and we won anyway on the road against a 12-4 team.
