Eric Dickerson quote and advice to the Rams

Eric Dickerson on undisputed went first on a conversation that just begun about the cowboys vs Rams. It course Skip was there who is a cowboys fan and he Eric D. Is a Ram. Eric went back to 1985 , he said we beat the cowboys 20 to 0 and then we faced the Bears who had Buddy Ryan. And Buddy Ryan told his team " we cant let number 29 beat us" we cant let number 29 beat us"! His advice would be to the Rams. ""We cant let number 21 beat us"! He said " I'd concentrate on stopping the run and what that does is make them one dimensional , and that puts the ball in Daks hands" . That's what Eric Dickerson said.
That is the obvious plan for them . If I were them I'd load the box , blitz or whatever to stop the run and when the cowboys pallet Donald , suh brockers and co get after Dak with a double on Cooper. That's is going to be their plan. We need cooper and every other receiver to step up. The offensive line has to bring it today. Suh alone is a physical mismatch. He is going to pull, hold jerseys out of the sight of the refs, grab arms and jerseys of moving o lineman . He does alot of their dirty work so that Donald can just use his talent freely. We cant allow them to out physical us. If we bring our a game we can win this. This would be an upset. I dont know how people can say that. This would be a major upset.we are looked at as a joke and have been all year. I appreciate Hasselbeck for just coming out and saying what most really felt. They have the NFCs most explosive offense with Goff 30 plus TDs and Gurleys 15 plus td rushing waay over Dak 22 TDs and Zeke 6 rushingTDs. They have aaron Donald the best defensive player in the league. A player with 20 plus sacks at D tackle. Two 1200 yard plus receivers, and great supporting cast. Obviously they want to stop our run early and punch us in the mouth by scoring early and often so that that takes us out of the run game. The reason that almost everyone picks the rams over the cowboys is their head coach
. He is the league genius right now. Looking at his plays and the results I'd have to say I'd have a ton of confidence in him too especially if I'd had to choose between him and Garrett. This is new school. Exotic, high scoring offense. Vs old school running the ball , grinding, trying to win time of possession, with a very good defense. In other words offensive and defensive balance, and not just high powered offense and a great pass rush. The rams went out and signed Suh, Talib, Peter's and got Fowler because these guys because of their pedigree. These guys make them a super team. It's the reverse of chip kelly. Kelly wanted a highly paid defense with high talent and an offense that ran his style and didnt need big names. They ran uptempo and if he had gotten Mariota to run his offense he may still be in the league. Mcvay has a highly talented offense and just needs to fill in pieces around his pass rush. He wants to score alot and make other teams have to pass and he wants to rush them and hurry and get his ball back. Tonight is about the old school vs the new school so to speak

Rams secondary is suspect and if Dallas can keep it close, count on one if their guys, like Marchs Peters to make one of their bone-headed mental lapses that leaves a dude running wide open..

They are the number 1 team in giving up huge passing plays..

The main issues is if the Rams get up early and set the tone upfront...

Need an aggressive game plan. Their corners will give up big plays if we will attack them the right way. Obviously establish Zeke but push ball downfield with some double moves, etc.

If we hit them in the chops early with some rpo's and playaction, we can do our thing with Zeke.THAT formula only works if we come out aggressively.

Maybe you’re right, but I think the Rams are going to play a safety over the top of Cooper and try to limit him to just the underneath stuff. That’s probably what I’d do. They can’t let Amari catch deeper passes and let him break off YAC like he seems to do. That dude just covers ground so quickly. No, he’ll kill you if you don’t add resources to stop him.

I think that this is a game that Gallup has a chance to blow up in. He’s getting more and more in sync with Prescott and he has the talent to hurt the Rams if the ball starts finding him.

I look for Michael to have a signature game if they play Cooper like I think they will.

Only if the Rams can’t stop Elliott’s bludgeoning will they have to bring the safety off of Amari and down to stop Ezekiel. if that happens... LA is in trouble.

How do you figure? They’re horrible at stopping the run. You run it until they prove they can stop it. Right now it’s all talk, why get away from what you built your team for? Soggy wet field.

Now I wouldn’t come out the first drive on the first play trying to run Zeke, I’d do one of those Dak sweeps off the edge. Play action second play to Cooper.

Dickerson is from Sealy Texas so he should be a Cowboys fan from birth....Time to unleash Tavon Austin and use him more like Tyreek Hill in different configurations. Go with the short passing game and go long when the defense allows it. If they sell out to stop Zeke then plan B must be implemented quickly. Linehan needs to utilize our te's into the gameplan. We cannot come out like the Colts looking timid and overmatched. We are young but must fight hard to win. Go Cowboys!!!!!
