He was given a 68.2 grade on the 2021 season by Pro Football Focus (PFF) and ranked 46th out of 83 offensive tackles who had enough snaps to qualify for a ranking. He was credited, or blamed, with giving up seven sacks in just 874 snaps.

This is from an old article when it was first reported that he was not going to re-sign with Indianapolis.

I'm torn - on the one hand, yeah I'm not interested in paying 8-10M for that type of performance.

On the other hand - Carson Wentz is a terrible QB to have to block for - he's the kind of guy who will make an OL worse.

He's probably waiting for an opportunity to start somewhere and not have to go through a long camp. You see this from vets all the time - they could easily sign at the start of a camp but rather wait to work out on their own, not have to go through the brutal camps and then show up a week or two before the season starts.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Well, we have about $20 mil in cap space. I think Jerry can afford to use some of that to get some help at LT.

20 million is nothing. We will have to sign Diggs soon and then there is Parsons.

You just do not understand how dire the cap situation is going to be. We just draft too well for our own good.

They need a big chunk of that $20 million to have to roll over into next year. They are $12 million over the cap for next year.

He was also playing through knee, toe, & pectoral injuires in '21.

He had a pro bowl season in '20.

I thought stephen said awhile back that some of this cap space could used if necessary on free agents.
