Agreed.

We've seen McGovern as a starter. We do not need to repeat that mistake.

Plug in a vet LT and stop with the nonsensical Philbin prayer shuffle.

I find it funny that we all implored the team to play him last season because Williams sucked so bad and than we saw McGovern play and we all begged to have Williams back even with the penalties and getting knocked back into the QB! McGovern is fine for a spell but not as the starter.

He got a ring and rode of into the sunset
I don’t think signing with a new team is happening
I think Fisher wants a huge payday

I'm not sure it's the pay. He played for $8.3M last season on a one-year deal. I would guess he wants more security.....as in a long-term deal.

Also, it's interesting the Colts let him walk after just one season.

Agree

him or Whitworth
Now why would Whitworth retire from the Rams and then join Dallas?
If he ever returned, it'd be where he won a Super Bowl and is beloved.

As for Fisher....all depends on if he thinks Dallas is a true contender.
He's turned down a ton of offers already.

you’re correct but money talks and if the FO truly believes we’re a contender we can’t go with Smith at LT

if it were me I’d pay one of these guys to play this year because we’re not making the playoffs with this OL

Whitworth is obviously the better player… but I really don’t think the guy wants to play anymore. It would probably take so much money, that it would be prohibitive.

I think it is pretty simple, how much is it worth to the Joneses to make the playoffs

I don’t think we have a realistic chance at even making the playoffs with Tyler as starting LOT

Well, I think you’re going to be upset because I don’t see them getting Whitworth.

As always, I could be wrong though.

I won’t be upset

I’m just stating the obvious

I have believed all year that we are a deficient team, we could make the playoffs but we were never a NFCCG/SB contender anyway. Now we’re are unlikely to even make the playoffs

To paraphrase BP “get your expectations LOW”

Probably a healthy way to deal with the team, lol.

They will make a move at some point. Unfortunately, I do think we may have to sit a watch Ball fail for 2-3 games first. I’m holding out hope that cutdowns present a few options and they take one.

Agree.

I'm getting the feeling that the answer is going to be Josh Ball.

Per Broaddus they aren’t interested in Fisher, Wynn or any other big name guy.

But they are interested in 40 year old Jason Peters. Reason being? He played for $1.75 million last season.

He said earlier this offseason "I'm looking for an up-and-coming offensive line [on a] good team or a playoff team," Peters said. "Either way is good for me because I can teach or I can sit back and listen and learn from other veterans of the game, too.
They are not serious about winning, but we already knew this. 7-10. McCarthy fired, Payton hired and more of the same.

One year deal.... we need someone. I watched and laughed living in KC when people wanted him cut after his rookie year. He is a vet now and understands they game. Need somebody.

If I were the GM I would see if the Niners would take a couple 1st round picks and Pollard for Trent Williams.

I’m curious if he’s actually turned down a bunch of offers, or if it’s just an agent trying to get offers
You never know
