I'm pretty sure just about every team had at least one pick where everyone thought, "What the heck...", they obviously saw something in him, but I will agree that there were several guys still on the board that I liked when we picked a guy most people had never heard of.

The only thing that would piss me off is if he doesn't make the team. If they put him on the PS or cut him, then it really would have been a wasted pick.

I actually half expect him to end up on the PS, which is why we took an unknown. If he can't make the team right away, he's less likely to be snatched like Matt Moore was.

Thanks, guys, for all of your input. It was done with respect and intelligence. I just needed some additional info to help me understand the logic of drafting Walden. It is great to hear that he did well in the OTAs & I hope he does even better in TC. As was said earlier, we can't have enough good pass rushers to help our resident HOFer in waiting--DWare.
