I actually watched the game.

You could see what the team saw in him and why they also cut him.

He's terrible in coverage. Got lost a lot. But, he's very athletic. If it weren't for the injuries, he wouldn't be playing in Green Bay right now because he's too big of a liability in coverage. But since there's injuries, he gets a spot and when you have guys like Raji, Matthews, and Woodson, you can cover up his coverage deficiencies.

But, part of the problem for the Packers is that they have Walden rush most of the time, that forces Matthews more into coverage. And he had one sack where it was a complete coverage sack and Cutler just didn't get rid of the ball.

The guy is a good spot player- limited. That is why he is gone and why he has not done anything else since we let him go until just now.

I'm sure they tried to put him on the practice squad, a guy they took as the 1st pick in the 6th round. He didn't even make it past waivers before he was snatched up. It was just a dumb move. You spend a pick on a guy that clearly shows you value him and then try to sneak him onto your practice squad before the season even starts?

Nah, the guy was a total project when he came into the league. He might just be a late bloomer. But it WAS only one game, lets see if he can do it all season.

I remember reading there were some folks that were pissed about him being cut.

That said, he hasn't done a whole lot in the league to warrant teeth knashing.
