Good video and I appreciate seeing Williams in action again to remind me of his nastiness to set the tone on those championship teams! But this also shows how urban legends get created. People on this board still talk about how Erik Williams made Reggie White quit in a game when it was William Fuller they meant according to this video. If it was White, then surely it would have been here, yes? I even remember saying that I bet it was something where John Madden went on and on about Williams in a game and sure enough that's what it was.

As for numbers, when I ran them White actually did alright against Williams in his career. As for Fuller, he had a sack in that game in Dallas in '94, had 1.5 sacks with Larry Allen starting at RT in the other game in '94, had 0, 1.5, and 0 sacks in the 3 games against Williams in '95 and then 1 and 0 sacks against Williams in '96 to complete his time with the Eagles. So likewise, he did okay.

Good stuff in the video even with some of the over-drama.

I had lunch with him a few years ago....a mutual friend invited me. He's a super nice guy...quiet, humble...he let me wear a SB ring during lunch. He was down promoting a program that he had....trying to help inner city kids.
He was a beast on the field and teddy bear, off...at least now! Lol

He and L.A were my favorite....great players...great competitors...

We had no one that could stop Brown. Williams certainly helped but the major difference in those games was the loss of Brown out of the Philly interior.

Similarly, a car accident stole 79's quickness.

I certainly have nostalgia for that era but it was tragic after 93. Bottomed out with Sualua and Tui.
