Error 0x80072efe....HELP!!!

I've been getting this error message on my PC for a little while now. Sometimes i can't even get online. I've searched for solutions online using my laptop but i can't seem to find anything that works.

I found this in a Microsoft forum. I have not tested it, or had the issue... just googled & found this site. Several people said it worked for them:

I could'nt update windows or windows defender and my sytem restore was kapput too
solved the problem with Kaspersky tdss killer........found here: download and scan then cure anything it finds.

This indicates a connectivity issue of some sort with Windows Update. See this article for general troubleshooting: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/836941?p=1

Also, check your PC date/time:

Right click the clock in the system tray. Select Adjust Date and Time.
Verify and correct the month, day, year, hour, minutes and time zone.
Reboot if you changed any of the above.
