you guys should really go check out the debate about barber and the pro bowl they're having over there its pretty funny. Their arguments are legit of if Barber deserves it or not ( Which IMO I think he does) but I was pretty surprised to see the respect they have of his abilities from some of the skin fans.

I love that some believe it's all because of our great O-line and passing game, yet neither of those seem to help Julius out.

Maybe it's because Julius wears them out on the first drive of the game, and then Barber comes in against a tired defense on the second drive of the game. Surely that's it.

I don't have time to dig up the stats but didn't Barber beat Portis in absolutely everything except total yards, even though Portis had 100+ more carries?

I know the old addage if it ain't broke don't fix it, but I wouldn't mind seeing Barber get the rock 30 times one game to see if he can handle the load.

He can do it he's just not being givin the chance. I mean in that Arizona game a couple years back he rushed for like 120 or 130 starting for Jones. I'm tired of people saying he's not that kind of back when he hasnt been giving the chance to prove other wise.

Most of the arguments look like BS. They say if we didn't have a mad passing game and good offensive line he wouldn't do anything so Portis deserves to be in even though he averages a yard less per carry and doesn't have as many TDs despite 100 more carries

So because of a "what if" question Barber shouldn't be in, despite his good stats. Sounds about right

Very nice. What I like about looking at it this way (as opposed to ypc) is, it prevents anybody from saying "we don't know what Barber would do with an equal number of carries."
