After the Escobar TD was not allowed the Cowboys stole some moves from the Pats

On first down they put their "big" package and tried Randle off tackle

Then they kept the same personnel on the field and at the last moment shifted Escobar out wide and had one-on-one with a LB. Great matchup but Romo threw a missile when a little touch was needed.

Ironically on the next play Romo threw a floater to Witten when he should have thrown a dart.

But I liked the play calls.

Escobar needs to run over players into end zone not dive the way he dove lol

Yeah that was a very poor red zone trip. We tried to do it again later in the game before the end of the 1st half and Phlly wisely slid a safety over the top of Escobar when he was iso'd out wide.

Romo was off early in the red zone last week, and again this week.

But alas, at least he was on the field. We won't be seeing him again for the next 2 months :(

I dont recall Witten running over players to make it to end zone(Seahawks, playoffs, 1 yard out?). Hell it was actually nice to see a Cowboy TE who could actually pull off an athletic move. Haven't seen that since Nova.

There both tall, it ends there. Escobar is a little ***** who got stood up by a corner and fumbled. And they should have ran at least two times at the 1 yard line. You should always run at the 1.

Why was the first play not called a touchdown? Was this discussed in the game thread? To me there was clear evidence he passed the line.

Sigh. There was no comparison to their talent levels in the op.

The thread was how the teams utilize their tight ends similarly
