I thought he was hurt. If not, the sAme thing that happened to every tight end before him happened to him. Jason Witten didn't retire.

I blame JG. He wanted him so it's his job to fix him and find a way to use him.

Last year he grimaced at the Gregory pick on draft day when his 2nd round picks are lousy!

Next year Escobar will probably go somehwere and catch 40-50 balls.

I, personally, still think Escobar has potential. Same as I thought Bennett had potential. Witten simply isn't getting out of the way for anyone and the staff isn't allowing anyone to cut into his playing time.

More by Beasley but the issue is just too many weapons and not enough balls
With the way the offense is set a blocking TE seems a better fit

No I meant the position of Fanzone whipping boy is filled. You didn't hear Beasley is fanzone hero and the best wr on the team?

I still wonder about his achilles. That's a big deal. Tendon can't be too short or long. Goldilocks just right.

Linehan prefers Beasley and the 11 package, apparently over the 12 package, fairly simple. As long as Linehan is is the OC, Escobar will sit on the shelf collecting dust.

That feels like an oversimplification. Since Escobar has been here, the playcallling has gone from Callahan to Garret to Linehan. As far as the 2nd round TEs were concerned, I think Fasano and Bennett were solid players that were underutilized, but Escobar just doesn't seem that good. He's got one thing that he does well, but so do a dozen journeymen TEs around the league.

This is like a bad game of musical chairs. We drafted three guys early at the position to eventually take over for Witten. The first two were good but the timing was wrong. This one is in the right place when the music stops but doesn't know how to find a chair.

in all fairness we dont use Escobar enough, we don't know what he can or can't do....I doubt Witten is gonna be standing on the sidelines while we try and findout
