If you're Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers, the reward for a strong Week 1 showing is the No. 1 spot in ESPN.com's Power Rankings.

Seattle, which owned the top spot last week, also won in Week 1 (12-7 at Carolina), but overall, our voters (John Clayton, Ashley Fox, Dan Graziano, Jamison Hensley, Mike Sando and Kevin Seifert) were more impressed with San Francisco.

Don't take this stuff too seriously but they're fun to watch. Right now I'd put the Cowboys as a little bit better than average and that's where they're ranked. So much depends on injuries, turnovers, at times weather, and matchups.
