IRVING, Texas – It’s an understatement to say that the Dallas Cowboys are unlikely to win again when Tony Romo's yards-per-attempt average is so low. Romo averaged only 5.37 yards per attempt in Sunday's season-opening win over the New York Giants, the lowest average of any victory during his career. He’s averaged fewer yards per attempt in only three games in which he played more than one series: a 23-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in December 2006, a game best remembered for Jessica Simpson wearing a pink jersey while sitting in a luxury suite; the 44-6 flop in Philly at the end of the 2008 season; and his horrendous outing in a loss to the Giants in the JerryWorld grand opening in 2009.Continue reading...
