ESPN ALL Century Offense

How is it hate to say he was dominant for the first part of his career?
This is hate or simply not having a clue. I can’t even believe you said that. I’m having trouble wrapping my head around that comment. You can’t possibly be serious. Wow!

Larry & Eric were leagues above him and quite frankly almost anyone else who have ever played the game.

They just hand out All Pros. He’s one of the few cowboy players ever to be named All Pro as a rookie. Zack Martin was such a great player that the experts practically every year were calling him the best player on the team. A lot of the rankings had Zack Martin as the best player on the team.

That has to be one of the most ridiculous comments I’ve ever read on this board. That’s absolutely ludicrous! Wow! lol
Yes they absolutely do because its voted by media. Surely everyone can agree that the bulk of the media today has little to no integrity. Do you really think 300 media members are putting in the time to study the best players at each position in depth enough to support their vote? Or they just vote on name brand? Personal bias? What other members are doing?

When Zack was young, all that was true. They kept saying it long after it became untrue.

Larry Allen is arguably the best OL to ever play the game. He is certainly on the very short list of players who could be considered. Zack is no where close to that argument. There are many who think that Eric was Larry's equal or better. That is a justifiable argument considering the level of players he whipped into submission. Sorry, but those guys are amongst the very best to ever lace them up in league history, not just Cowboys history.

Zack certainly has a place in the pecking order but he's clearly not at the top even in Cowboys lore.

Not wasting any more time with it.

Stop diverting! This was hate or you simply don’t have a clue. If you think Allen and Williams were better, fine but no way were they “leagues” ahead of him. Most would probably rank them ahead of Martin especially Allen but to say almost anyone else whoever played the game was better is Ludacris! You’re completely lost if you honestly believe that.

I said that Allen & Williams were better than almost anyone who ever played the game. I didn't say anything about everyone else being better than Martin.

Okay, I misinterpreted it. I thought you were referring to everyone else who ever played the game was better than Martin.

You stop diverting. You haven't answered any questions I have posed. All you do is try to attack me out of emotion.
It’s a waste of time if you’re going to keep down playing how good Martin was. I’m in no mood to spend all day on this. He was one of the all-time great Cowboys. You seem to think because the Cowboys never won anything with him that diminishes what he did as a player. You probably feel the same way about Jason Witten. We never won anything with him either.

He had been claiming this kind of garbage for at least four years I can remember.
seriously, I think if Martin was still playing and getting ALL Pros he would have killed himself by now

I never said anything about team results. I've stayed on point.

People getting accolades they aren't earning should bother everyone.

You seem to have a problem that we haven’t won anything in 30 years and that reflects on some of the great players we’ve had. It takes a total team and great coaching to win. The Chicago Bears never made the playoffs with Dick Butkus, but that didn’t diminish what he was as a player.

Not the "we haven't won anything in thirty years so we are going to fluff up any of our players that have something to brag about regardless of what our eyes saw".
