ESPN and Yahoo blame Vandy

It's impossible to understand because it's a completely illogical statement.

it's not illogical if you can read minds from your TV screen ;)

Could the holder have spike the ball and had another chance for another field goal?? I know there was only 6 seconds left, but the holder should have spiked the ball on that jail break.

The holder was doing his job and looking at the BALL, not the "rush". If he were looking at the rush it wouldn't of mattered even if there were no rush cuz the hold would of sucked and Vandy would of missed it because of that bad hold.

The only time a holder should spike it is if the snap was bad. Period.

I'm speaking from Mont17's perspective :)

I understood what you were saying. I didn't mean to sound antagonistic to you. If it came across that way, I apologize.

I wasn't sure, but no problem

This being a kicker question, shouldn't we get hos' opinion?

Blaming Vanderclank for that block is beyond idiotic.

It is bordering on the "R word" that I hear is not allowed here.

Just for fun, go ahead and compile a list of free agent busts bigger than Vandy. You'll find a whole lot more names deserving.

That was the line's fault. ESPN and Yahoo are morons.

Puhleeze...this was NOT the kicker's fault.

It wasn't even close.

The holder can't spike the ball to kill the clock. To spike the ball, you have to take the snap from under center. If the holder spikes it into the ground, it's intentional grounding.

Of course. We all know it was Witten's fault for letting Colombo block the wrong guy.

True enough. Romo's head never left the ball until it was kicked.
