ESPN showed some stats how Keyshawn has been much more effective this year than TO, including yards, catches, etc. Of course, they failed to mention the fact that Dallas has played one less game than the Panthers. Oh well.

At this point Keyshawn has been more effective. With or without the extra game.

I am still shocked that the Cowboys thought that TO and Key couldnt co-exist (or at least it wasnt worth a try). Almost makes me think that Key told the FO 'if you bring him in trade or release me'.

I don't suppose they mentioned that Terry Glenn has more yards and touchdowns than Steve Smith, did they?

Apparantly noone realized that Keyshawn is the #2 option...

well, obviously no one realizes that Keyshawn was actually #1 option while Steve Smith was out those first few games. Also one extra game. Also, TO gets a helluva lot more respect than Key does.

I would take half of what TO brings to the game than all of Keyshawn.

Point I was making, that since Smith was back, Key is the second guy teams look at. He isn't fast, so you dont have to worry about help over the top.

He's good. I like the effort he gave us when he was here, and frankly, no Cowboys fan should complain about Keyshawn in any capacity at all.

But Ill take TO and Glenn over Smith and Keyshawn, not by alot, but I'll take it.

And why would they when comparing TO to Key ?

I know you are a numbers guy, but everything football isnt always just numbers.

Maybe some of your bretheren dont but I do.

And even with the extra game Key has been more effective.

TO gets more respect ? Bruce Smith and Deion got lots of respect when they signed with the Commanders too... . All of these guys get respect, they are in the league.

All you have gotten is half of TO, I can hardly wait until the other half shows up, it will indeed finally be a reason for popcorn.

Add in Witten and it makes sense. But otherwise the tandem of a healthy Smith and Johnson are equal if not better.

Start with this...Key and Steve have better hands.

LOL. Isn't that what ESPN just did? Compared there numbers, without even considering the notion that T.O. may just be getting more respect on the football field than Keyshawn? But, please feel welcome to continue contradicting yourself.

Yawn.

Another 'someone in the media is biased against the Cowboys' thread.

Who cares? Why do you care?

This particular whining is nearing the BP mark on the Whine-O-Meter, surpassing the 'Need to see Henson Play' mark, with the Bobby Carpenter Bust whining climbing.

What happens here? Are you people on some sort of Media Watch program? You see some Cowboy dissing in the press and think this is certainly some groundbreaking disclosure and must be posted on the Zone...ASAP?

Try this....you hear it.....just roll your eyes......go 'pffff', and nod your head in an all knowing way that says you know better....and move on.

You'll live longer.

Stats like this at this time of year mean nothing. Small sample sizes can lead to wrong conclusions.

OUTSIDE OF MORONIC skin trolls, show me someone else in the NFL that would chose Smith and Key over TG and TO.

Owens has the drops this year, whether it is the hand or not, but terry glenns hands are as good as any in the league.

Steve smith to me is better than the other three, but at the same time, johnson is number 4 in that group.

He has had a good start though. He is a good player, he did everything asked here for two years, but owens prescence has made a difference early on.

Teams are rushing 4 or 5 guys consistently against us and not blitzing because of the threat of owens, glenn and witten. He has changed opposing defensive strategies so far.

I expect to see the eagles drop their pants and come after us sunday, I just think that is good news for us personally. I see them struggling to cover owens, witten and glenn one on one in three spots on the field. None of the eagles linebackers have a chance against witten, owens will have to be doubled and that means if we pick up the blitz glenn will run those deep routes.

One more thing about keyshawns numbers, the panthers have struggled to run the ball for 3 of the 4 games, where as we have run the ball well in 3 games and have thrown less.

carolina has run the ball 100 times in 4 games for 440 yards and 3 touchdowns, and only 3 runs of 20 plus yards in 4 games. 167 of that and 29 attempts came against new orleans last week. They struggled to run the ball until this past sunday so they were forced to throw the ball more.

Dallas meanwhile is second in the nfc in rushing. 94 attempts for 443 and 5 touchdowns with 4 20 plus plays....that is in 3 games....

and for comparison in 4 games...
Delhomme is 79/137 for 808 yards 3 tds and a long play of 41 yards in 3 gms.

Bledsoe is 48/91 for 662 5 tds and long play of 51.

attemps and inability to run the ball has something to do with it as you see, its not just one guy is better than the other.

Keyshawn was also the #1 receiver while Smith was out. It's just more BSPN's notorious sensationalism.

Then he lied on "Quite Frankly" when, before we got Owens, he said he told Jerry he would be fine with bringing in Owens.

Terry stats should be compared to Keys stats and Steve's stats should be compared to T.O.'s...Now lets look at the numbers....
