This all stems from Schottenheimer "overcoaching" Dak Prescott by instructing the star quarterback to throw the ball away at the end of the game. Prescott essentially had two options on Dallas' final offensive play: He could have gone through his progressions to guarantee an incomplete pass or take one read and throw the ball away if a receiver wasn't open.

I mean nothing else he can do.

But it does get old with him and Dak repeating that same stuff every week.

Like I said though, he has to speak and nothing else he can do

So this is the second time that he admitted that he made the crucial mistakes but people will say that he's lying again, which makes absolutely no sense to lie about.

You can't make this **** up.

Some clown in here has suggested multiple times that the HC has demanded accountability all season, and this culture changes has made a world of differnce. So far, from what I have seen, he has thrown everybody on the team under the bus. At what point is this just talk, and is actuall success demanded from you know who?

Snooty would better serve his team by moving on

Every thread someone has to praise Dak or blame Dak when the topic isn't him, then the thread an unreadable back and forth. It's beyond tired and old. Great job being the one in here. smdh.
Cannot disagree...we can debate that Dak should have taken his shot but not in this thread....yet, here I am doing the same, lol

The fact they have to discuss a game winning play proves they’re frauds: it should just be in their blood at this point

Let's blame Dak anyways
Dak is not free from blame. I certainly hope coach didn't tell Dak to throw it away and Dak just went out there like a robot and did it without any pushback. As a leader Dak has a responsibility to at least help put his team in position to win and it didn't get any better than that play.

Dak put the team in a position to win. He literally drove down the field.

Does it matter? Dak should have ignored him. Schotty made a lot of questionable decisions in that game.

Thats fair. Now let's say Dak ignored him and messed around and got sacked without any time outs.... the RT was getting pushed back into Dak mind you....

So let's say Dak in this situation got sacked, the time ran out, game over without a chance to kick a fg. Once it came out in the post game press conference that Schotty told Dak to throw it away if his first read wasn't opened, but he ignored him and cost us the game, who would you have blamed, Dak or Schotty?

I don't want no other explanations or deflections or anything else. I just the answer to that question.

If Dak ignored Schotty's order to throw it away, got sacked and no opportunity to kick a game tying fg, who would you and others had blamed for the loss, Dak or Schotty.?

With Schottenheimer calling plays. I watched the game. Blame gets divided between whoever said throw it away before the play even develops and whoever threw it away before the play developed.

You have to ignore some relevant points to make that statement.

Points like these,

A significant play on that drive was the play that put them on the two yard line. A play that would have been an INT if Lamb didn't wisely play defense on the play and even somehow managed to draw a phantom PI.

Also, the play right before that one when Prescott for some reason let 35 seconds drain off the clock while in the no huddle.

Prescott was in choke mode that entire drive.

The irony of claiming Prescott put the team in the position to win then absolving him for choking it away with the game in his hands is off the charts.

And he'll own up to the next set of blunders after they happen. Just a question of how soon to the next ones.

...get on a win streak Shotty, that will fix many things. ;)..

I sent the memo...
