cowboy (pa): why is going undefeated already a huge topic and its only week 5?

Gary Horton: (1:27 PM ET ) A lot of people are not talking about Dallas because they are new to the party. But I think the reason you talk about it with Indy and New England is because they are both powerhouses. Remember Indy was 13-0 last year, so we know they can get close, and the Pats are the most focused team in football.

Gary Horton: (1:28 PM ET ) I think a lot of people feel like these teams are so superior that either one of them could have a shot. Obviously they both can't go undefeated, as they play each other.

Brandon (Idaho): Shouldn't Romo be considered in MVP talk?

sn2.gif
Gary Horton: (2:21 PM ET ) I do not think he's in that talk right now because he not done it over a long period of time If he continues to play like he has through four games, then he will be in the conversation. It will probably come down to Brady, Favre, Romo, Manning and maybe Moss.

If the Packers are also left off the table, then I agree. Otherwise...

Actually, the Colts were 9-0 until the 'Boys beat them.

They were 13-0 the year before, until the Chargers beat them.

Then why not factor the supposed weakness of the NFC?

Dallas plays one AFC team in their skill level NE, than we have 12 games against the so-called weaker conference, plus 3 against the weak AFC East.

Based on all the AFC love the media gives out, I'd say that would be a legit reason to put Dallas in the 16-0 talk.
