• Offensive linemen are using a lot of illegal leg-whip maneuvers this year. The game officials are going to have to be more aware of it and start penalizing the move. Dallas tackle Marc Colombo used one last week on Tommie Harris, and it resulted in the Chicago defensive tackle suffering a sprained knee. Colombo wasn't flagged for the technique, but he was fined $12,500 by the league after the officiating department reviewed videotape.
