IRVING, Texas -- For the third time in five weeks the Dallas Cowboys re-called linebacker Keith Smith from the practice squad. Bruce Carter will miss his third straight game with a quadriceps injury and Korey Toomer was cut on Friday so the Cowboys could re-sign defensive end Lavar Edwards, leaving the Cowboys with only five linebackers. To make room for Smith on the 53-man roster, the Cowboys released rookie defensive tackle Ken Bishop. A seventh-round pick, Bishop has been credited with two tackles in three games.Continue reading...
