We're about to see a watered-down offense for Cooper's skill set. Kellen Moore is in the ear of the Philly DC talking about tendencies & weaknesses.
Problem: We have too many flaws for Cooper to overcome, just the same as with Dak.......we have the same defense, the same OL, and the same WR group.

Can't water it down much more than it has been.

Again, go back and look at the scores of that 4-1 record as a starter in 2022. The defense won those games. The 4 opponents in those victories scored 17, 16, 10 and 10 points respectively

The credit that goes to Rush is that he didn't do anything to lose those games.

However, against the Eagles, the only loss of those 5 games, Rush completed less than half of his passes and threw 3 INT's.

Although the Cowboys defense still held them to 26 points, the Cowboys could only score 17, enough to win three of the previous games and go into OT on the 4th game.

Is anybody expecting that same kind of support from the defense this season, particularly with Barkley as the Eagles RB?

I expect to see Rush in the first half of the next game only until Lance proves he is no NFL QB.

Exactly!! Rush had a really great defense last time. Our current defense is a bottom dweller. You can't expect the same results. Hoping to at least not get blown out by the egals!!

right ,

I'd have all the confidence in the damn world if our defense came out and did what they did last time Cooper rush started 16 points per game and even with turnovers they were making stops...stops forcing punts turnovers, and defensive scores..

I mean Cooper rush 107 yards passing that wasn't even that passing 2 fumbles look absolutely like a rookie against that Rams team only have our defense just keep getting the ball back!!

I mean if that defense comes out in the second-half of the season is holding teams under 17 points and we're going to all sit here and say that it's the same as when Prescott was playing they're straight hater and just really ridiculous people making all these points about Cooper rush without context 58% completion percentage 5 touchdowns 3 interceptions 2 fumbles and really if you watch the games he didn't do much he struggled to get the team one touchdown a game..

it never looked truly impressive,

I mean the Cincinnati game was pretty nice but you know what they say about a squirrel finding in that every once in awhile he's that guy the most overrated player in the history of the Dallas Cowboys literally talked about as if he's some kind of hero and pick this team up and carry them without any contact at all and it drives me nuts he's not even in the same conversation as Dak, not close in talent, i don't care about the money they make.. its obvious, all there but blinders on form the hater groups and we get the nonsensical comments,

This was NOT a Nick Foles or last years Flacco...

This year our biggest problem is on defense and then you Add all the penalties the offensive line, the lack of a run game, penalties at all three phases bad schemes bad coaching bad calls if all of a sudden that gets turned around I'm going to have to question the coaching staff for torpedoing Prescott BUT here we are.

I can see that happening all of a sudden the team plays better they get the injured players back and they play a little better the run game already looked like it was picking up a little bit maybe the offensive line becomes a little less shaky and all of a sudden they're going to say it was all Prescott , that would be the narrative with no contacts and no real football the casuals will be in full works like they are right now some of these posts are just nuts they've been waiting for Prescott to get hurt because they knew Cooper Rush could do better...

Cooper Rush played with the same defense as Dak in an offense that was tailored for Dak for 8 years, who accomplished nothing but padded garbage time stats.

The OC played ball control and played with leads. When Rush needed to move the ball in the second game, he did.

Even the Philly game when they started the game with a bizarre game-plan, Rush settled form and brought Cowboys with 3 with a WHOLE QUARTER to play, but the defense gave up a 8 minute drive that led to a TD.

Acting like the defense won the game is a joke.

Against the Bengals, they opened up with a 17-3 lead. When Rush needed to move the ball in the second game, he did. Against the Giants, he put up 20 pts in the 4th, 17 total in the second half. Dallas was up 22-10 to start the 4th the 3rd ending in a TD on a 30 yard pass by Rush. They ran it 10 times on their last 11 plays up 19-0 against the Rams to end the game, meaning 2 scores.

Acting like the defense won the game is a joke. These Dak-a-Holics were also saying the season was over when Dak went down after TB, saying the FO did nothing for him in the odd-season.

I said it in 2022 and I’ll say it again. Have faith in Cooper Rush. He’s 5-1 as a starter and has earned the right to compete. Who knows? Maybe Cooper Rush beats Philadelphia. What a “rush” that would be
Trey Lance gets a shot soon.

Jerry thinks we still have a shot at the playoffs.

Rush is the ultimate QB2.

but I think some fans are talking up Rush to hold back Lance.

Trey is more athletic than Rush.
