He was 5-1 on the same team Dak was sucking it up with that Dak’s career wasted. He already proved himself as far as the excuses for Dak are concerned.
Serious question.......would you give a Rush a $50M per year ( that's the going rate for a staring QB ) contract today?

What are you even talking about?

I don’t need to see anything. He is not getting paid 60 million a year. He was 5-1 on the same team Dak was sucking it up with that Dak’s career wasted. He already proved himself as far as the excuses for Dak are concerned.

“All in” Jerry was all in for Dak for years and Dak failed and still was made the highest paid QB in NFl history.
No need to elaborate.....You don't like Dak. It's ok.

Cooper just need to run more than Dak and don’t throw 3 yard or less pass on 3rd and 10. Simple better judgment and faster release could help. Entirely possible a change in mindset could change the offense.

Once Dallas loses the next few games and McCarthy's job is toast they need to put Lance in and evaluate his progress.
Elevate his progress. To what end? He’s a unrestricted free agent after this year. They can’t trade him. He’s only elevating his FA opportunities and cost if he balls out. The only thing that does for the Cowboys is maybe getting their 4th back in a comp pick.

Would love to get a decent comp pick for him at this point.

He threw three pics last time he faced Philly. I see the same this Sunday. Specially playing from behind. Shaquan Buckley is going to run up and down the field.
Barkley is going to be tough for this defense. Every team knows that the Cowboys aren't able to defend the run consistently.
I don't think Zimmer has a grip on his personnel yet to be able to run his defense the way he wants. He doesn't yet know the individual strengths and weaknesses of his players so that he can scheme accordingly.
IF the Cowboys expect to win, Cooper Rush has to keep their offense off the field. He has to avoid three-and-outs, and has to be consistent in working the clock.
It is a tall order.
But two of the three interceptions he threw against the Eagles last time were actually on Michael Gallup; he wasn't fighting for the pass like he should have been, presumably still tentative from his injury. He let the defenders move past him to the ball, and should have been benched.
But Rush gives the Cowboys a chance they wouldn't have with Dak in that he sees the field better and doesn't have to count on CeeDee or Ferguson on every pass play.

I agree with everything until you started making excuses for Cooper Rush

. These Dak-a-Holics were also saying the season was over when Dak went down after TB, saying the FO did nothing for him in the odd-season.
100%

Dak played most of the TB game and we got shellacked 19-3. Fans were booing and literally throwing trash on Dak as he left the game in the 4th quarter

Same nonsense ( season's over, team sucks, etc)

Until we won 4 straight with rush under center

Will they do it again? Who knows. But the similarities are crazy. Including and especially how strongly the Church of Dak is breathlessly hoping the team tanks horribly with Dak out.

They will be inconsolable if Rush plays well and the team wins

Those are my beliefs on the matter, having repeatedly watched the game.
But even if the interceptions were his fault, how many times has Dak sunk the Cowboys with interceptions? At least in that game we were still competing when it mattered, rather than a last minute score against a loose defense that makes the game look like it was closer than it really was.

Nobody cares about Prescott anymore, stop mentioning him.

I am laughing at loud at all the Cooper Rush love.

If Rush is anything more than a game manager, why did nobody offer him a contract in free agency- outside of the Bengals, who put a vet's minimum deal on the table for him to backup Burrow. Rush decided to take the same money and not move out of Dallas.

The Cowboys, once again, are messing this up. They need to start Trey Lance and see what they have in him. Anybody with an ounce of football knowledge knows what Rush is- a solid backup.

Lance, however, could do enough these last nine games to maybe net Dallas a future comp pick assuming he walks in free agency. They have a chance to get a return on the trade for Lance and refuse to take it.

Steve Beurlein and Jason Garrett won games for the Cowboys in the 1990's. Fans here would say the Cowboys should have saved money and got rid of Aikman. :lmao:

Well you shouldn’t be upset if he does. Sounds like a fairly normal dik dak game ,

Why shouldn’t I be upset. I don’t care about Prescott, that story is written. We’ll see how rush does with the team Sunday.
