Said the guy who recently added the dramatic prairie dog as his avatar. :D

I liked the hip numbers. I wish they still had them. It helps identify players when regular numbers are obscured.

Here's a comparison of our current home whites, and what they would look like if you changed the pants to silver and the royal blue to navy blue

The road silver pants are too bland to wear at home. They gotta be metallic blue.

Good job, Catch.

I know the current pants have a little too much of that greenish tint, but I kind of like them. The silver and navy looks too generic, IMO. Almost Lions- or Panthers-like, somehow. That lighter blue is unique.

And I like the royal blue. It's a good tie to the past.

Still think our current road unis are the best in the league.

Should call them our home unis cuz we always wear them at home (unless we're wearing our throwbacks) but we don't always wear them on the road. :D

Actually I was talking about the blue ones.:

I know we don't wear 'em very often, but I love it when we do.

I've never really understood why some guys get so into uniform talk. Guys in cutoff sweats and t-shirts with holes and mustard stains on them get into these passioned arguments "You think the blue with silver trim looks better than the white with blue trim? I don't think so, girlfriend !!! Everyone knows silver trim was last fall. *snap* *snap*

Navy uni numbers that match the helmet. Real sleeves. Metallic blue pants. Striped socks. Perfecto.

Because "America's Team" has a lot to do with the visual appeal of our unis. It's like a free agent putting on Yankee pinstripes for the first time and feeling superior.

No discussion of uniforms can be complete without mentioning the abortions that were the old Buc's uniforms:

I noticed the tie-downs on Barber. It's very prominent in the center of his chest. I wondered what the hell that was.

Great job Catch.

SIlver is better. Plain and simple.

Can you give us the navy as our royal color?

It wasn't the red stripe it was the numbers on the hips that the Packers and Colts also used.
I gotta disagree with ya on this. From the article.

9. SPIRIT OF '76

Not many people seem to remember this, but the Cowboys gave new meaning to "America's Team" in 1976, when they changed one of their helmet stripes from blue to red, creating a patriotic effect for the nation's bicentennial.

Uniqueness Factor: Fairly high. Only two other NFL teams have gone this route -- the 1984-87 Packers and the 1982-86 Colts.

Annoyance Factor: High. Truth be known, Uni Watch kinda likes this move, at least when viewed in a vacuum. But in the context of all the "America's Team" nonsense, it's just another example of the institutional hubris that makes it so easy -- so necessary -- to hate the Cowboys.
The 2 pictures they used do not illustrate this red stripe.
