MOBILE, Ala.-- The Dallas Cowboys have to find a new tight end coach with Wes Phillips leaving to take the same position with the Washington Commanders. The Cowboys are looking at Mike Pope as a replacement. Pope spent 23 seasons with the New York Giants as an assistant coach, most recently as a tight ends coach. There is a connection: Coach Jason Garrett was a backup quarterback with theGiants from 2000 to 2003.
