IRVING, Texas -- The Cowboys lost practice squad quarterback Alex Tanney, who was signed to the Cleveland Browns' active roster on Tuesday. Tanney was signed by Dallas just prior to training camp and impressed the Cowboys with his arm strength and command of the offense. In five preseason games, Tanney completed 54.8 percent of his passes with one touchdown and two interceptions. "He's done a really nice job for us," coach Jason Garrett said. "I think we got a chance to see him in training camp do some positive things.
