IRVING, Texas – After the first seven games of Barry Church’s rookie year, the Dallas Cowboys were 1-6 and on their way to 1-7. Wade Phillips was fired at the midway point of that season, replaced by Jason Garrett, and the Cowboys finished 6-10. Seven games into Church’s fifth season, the Cowboys are 6-1 and hold the best record in the NFL.
