OXNARD, Calif. -- With Ben Malena expected to miss significant time with a quadriceps injury suffered in Thursday’s preseason loss to the San Diego Chargers, the Dallas Cowboys will work out running back D.J. Adams, according to a source. Malena, an undrafted free agent from Texas A&M, was hurt in the second half and was on crutches after the game. He faced an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster, but the Cowboys liked his versatility and ability to play special teams.
