In Week 2 of the 2011 season, the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers were in similar spots. Since then, the Niners have trended up and the Cowboys down. The Cowboys won 27-24 in overtime at Candlestick Park that day, with Tony Romo playing through a broken rib and punctured lung to deliver the victory. However, the Cowboys finished that year -- and every year since -- with an 8-8 record. The Niners have made it at least to the NFC Championship Game in each of the past three seasons.
