IRVING, Texas -- When the NFL draft rolls around in May, the Dallas Cowboys will hold the 27th pick in the first round. Well, perhaps. You never know what owner and general manager Jerry Jones will do before or during the draft. In 2010, the Cowboys had the 27th pick in the first round after their 11-5 finish and loss in the divisional round to the Minnesota Vikings in 2009. They didn’t stay there. The Cowboys made a trade with the New England Patriots and took wide receiver Dez Bryant with the 24th overall pick.
