Cowboys will scrimmage Sunday
August, 6, 2011 Aug 612:41PM CTEmail Print Comments By Todd ArcherSAN ANTONIO -- Jason Garrett is bringing back the Blue-White scrimmage to Cowboys training camp.

The Cowboys will have a scrimmage Sunday at 2:30 p.m. inside the Alamodome that will feature some live, full speed action.

“Certain portions of it will be live,” Garrett said. “It’ll be a big situational day for most of the group, but then we’re going to try to give the younger guys a chance to play football that’s a little more realistic than it’s been in practice.”

Garrett said the coaches are still working through all of the special teams’ aspects of the scrimmage but there will be punts and field goals. The veterans will work through red zone, end-of-game situations and a few drives as well before giving way to the younger players.

let the young guys go at it...see who really shines

I really like how JG is doing things. He's had them in full pads darn near every day, hittin and getting in football shape. This will be a totally different football team this year. I really can't wait!!

As for injuries, they're gonna happen, it's football. You still have to practice physical to play physical.

Yep ...

Are fans allowed to videotape the scrimmage? It would be nice to see some of the plays unfold.

It will be vanilla!

:laugh2:

Is it not going to be on TV/streamed? That would be awesome if it was but I guess I can see why it wouldn't be.

interesting to see the young guys go at it. The young safeties and corners vs wr's and TE's. young running backs. I will also have my eye on the OLB albright vs brandon williams camp battle.
