OXNARD, Calif. -- Thursday was an interesting day at training camp. The players didn't have any helmets or shoulder pads. They wore jerseys and baseball caps. Things were so serious around here that tight end Martellus Bennett tried to do a handstand on the sidelines.

*Robert Brewster got first-team reps at right tackle again, leading us to think he will start against the Chargers. Brewster will make his first career start and there were formations where tight end Jason Witten helped him protect the quarterback and a few more in which the fullback, Deon Anderson, was lined up on Brewster's side. Brewster also did one-on-one work with offensive line coach Hudson Houck.

*Jesse Holley (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday, but its doubtful if he'll participate on Saturday. Pat Watkins also did a little more work in practice.

Yea, how unusual for Marty B not to take things seriously.........

Buehler went 3 for 7? Yikes............. (I will not over-react. I will not over-react. I will not.........................)

Maybe he was trying something on the attempts to see if it would work.

Yea it is possible. And maybe the coaching staff knew in advance. However, wouldnt he be using his experimental kicks for warm ups where it is just him and the holder? Wouldnt he want to actually make the kicks with the whole team watching and going through the drills? It seems like a strange time to try new techniques. Especially after kicking well in the last game.

However, I have never watched kickers in camp. Maybe going 3 of 7 isnt a big deal in camp.
