I dont agree. You have to do better than 1-12 in your 6th year when your qb goes down. I know its been said before but Cassel had zero experience when he won 11 for Pats and was an all star for KC. How could they not at least coach him to more than 1 win. The offense looked horrible all year. I dont think Garrett would even get any attention for a HC vacancy if he was replaced. 20 years of Jerry's excuses is getting old.
Lets get next years excuses ready- "the players we drafted need some time", "the players we signed weren't use to our schemes", "Our go to players are getting to old", " the refs are against us", "the sun was in our eyes".
I'm really get sick and tires of watching other teams in the playoffs. If Jerry had bought Jacksonville he'd be seen as the worst owner in the sport - worse than Synder
Jerry's lost

I am willing to chalk this season up to injuries and give Garrett a mulligan, but he dam well better have this team in the playoffs next season

Injuries or not.

What about the 3 years this team went 8-8? You going to give him mulligans for those years too? Unless your going to tell me they were good seasons.

Considering the historic injury situation we had I'm still surprised we managed to win 8 games in '13 and '14.

Every team has injuries. There will be more next season and the season after. Every year we are "Surprised" that we won games and every year it's the same excuses. Then top it off with every year we need to draft ________________.
You know who you don't hear this from every year? Teams with good coaches and front offices.

ESPN is primarily filled with Cowboys haters. Of course they'll want the team to stick with someone who gives them a lesser chance at success.

I would have never given Garrett a 5 year extension to begin with, I would have made him prove that last year was not a fluke (which is starting to look more and more like it was).

However, that is water under the bridge now. I give Garrett a pass this season strictly because of the severity of the injuries to Romo and Dez. Now with that being said, I tell Garrett that he better find some good backups this offseason because next year is playoffs or unemployment line, I don't care who gets hurt.

I will disagree. Those teams could have won more games. Some of them we had big leads and blew them. Very winnable games at the end of the year that we just choked and lost. In each of those 3 years were playing for the East crown in the last game of the year against a team would should have beaten and lost. And it did have anything to do with talent.

Why would you give him a pass next year for not doing the same thing he didnt do last year? His backups stunk and he should have known that. Many casual fans knew how bad Weeden was. He has been here two years and played in the league 4 prior to that.

And Why should Garrett get a pass for him being incapable of going 1-10 without Romo? So basically he is useless without Romo? Why would anyone want a coach like that?

Choice 1: Be uncomfortable, get real coach, win, get no credit (again) , makes lots of money.

Choice 2: Be comfortable, mostly .500 football but just might get lucky one day, would get credit this time, makes lots of money.

Which one sound more like Jerry?

Based on? Yes I'm serious. We knew we were dead without Romo. Guess what, we were without Dez also. I can't believe how many are shocked that we struggled this year. Let me put it this way, before the season opener if I said we would be without Romo and Dez, and go through 4 QB's most in here would have guess 4-5 wins at most.

We should have won 10 games a season in all of the 8-8 years if not for Garrett not knowing how to manage a game or the clock. It wasn't injuries holding us back it was an idiot coach who needs on the job training.
