He'll be 32 in September, so realistically the Cowboys have to plan like he only has a couple of starter-quality seasons left. They think they have his replacement in Orlando Scandrick, but corner will probably be a priority in next year's draft. They need to start grooming another good young one for when Newman is done.

Will demarcus ware's return to his 2008 playing weight help him have another 15+ sack season? At the start of 09 he seemed at step late from getting to the qb on more than a few occasions and it seemed like the added weight might have been the problem.

3:21 Tim MacMahon (ESPNDallas): I don't know that weight was really an issue for Ware. He played through all sorts of injuries -- stress fracture in his foot, back problems, sprained neck, a chip fracture in his wrist. Health probably was the primary reason he had "only" 11 sacks.

Hey Tim...is Jason Williams progressing at all? Seems like every time his name is mentioned he has made a mistake. I know the learning curve is steep for him, but does the coaching staff feel he just needs time till the light goes on? Also, wouldn't he be better suited as a rush OLB with his speed...yes, I know we are practically set there, but seems like he might be better off in a 4-3.

You bring up an interesting point. He was projected in some scouting reports as a pass-rushing OLB. He isn't tall, but neither is James Harrison. He's showed flashes as a blitzer.

One thing that bugs me about how everyone is piling on Bennett is that the leaked pictures of him are supposedly 4 years old, yet they're being treated as evidence that he's being dumb NOW, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. He was overrated coming out of Texas. He's had only one 1,000-yard seasons and that was in a Mike Martz scheme that made 1,000-yard receivers out of legends like Mike Furrey and Shaun McDonald. If Williams can be an average receiver, the Cowboys will be somewhat pleased ... and cut him after the season.

Hi folks. Theodore Kim here at the game, along with the rest of the DMN gang.

A quick note about parking. It is expensive. That's true even for the so-called "cheap" spots far from the stadium. Lot 14, one of the most remote "official" lots, cost $50. At other events, the lot is much cheaper -- usually around $30.

Off site parking also is expensive -- as much as $40 forspaces nearly a mile away (!) from the stadium. I saw one makeshift lot on Division Street just off of Route 360 that was charging $20. That's at least a few miles away. Amazing, we know.

Remarked one Lot 13 attendant with a grin, "Cheap today, ain't it?"

there is a bus that carries you to and from the game, but i would have to dig in my old cowboys info to find it, and its pretty cheap too, $30 i think

this is one of those talking points the media likes to goof on, just like the 100 dollar pizzas.

rest assured as a normal fan just going to the game you will never have to deal with either. That 75 dollar lot is not for the general public.

I bought a 50 dollar parking pass last year because of the uncertainty of the surroundings having never played a game there.

this year I didnt buy it. About two blocks behind my 50 dollar lot there is a 20 dollar lot and all along rando mill all the way back to cooper there are public lots between 20 and 40 bucks.

and for a fun story. Corby was just telling a story on the ticket that last night all the cowboys people, the front office and coaches and staff...were in the bar at the hyatt..the cowboys hotel and they were all down there to watch the rangers game.....He went onto say that they were all cheering and clapping following the game and the masterpiece lee threw last night!!!

that street in arlington, randol mill has a chance to be an amazing place come this fall!!
