IRVING, Texas -- Tony Romo’s first interception against the Tennessee Titans should have been a touchdown pass.

It would have been a tough catch. Romo put the ball high on a seam route to Bennett in the front of the end zone between a couple of Titans. Bennett got a hand on the ball, but he couldn’t come down with it, allowing Tennessee safety Michael Griffin to get the rebound.

“I should have caught it,” said Bennett, who sprained his ankle against the Titans but expects to practice Wednesday. “It’s all on me.”

thanks..but we still lost

and I am sure we will see the same mistakes, sooner or later

I remember way back in high school the rule was, if it hits you in the hands, you have to catch it.

Apparently when you are a Cowboys fan, if it hits the receiver in the hands, it's Romo's fault...lol

Good things rarely happen when they try to get the ball to Bennett.

Jus sayin...

a lot of people are saying this..I have heard like 5 diff people say it..a couple of friends in person and a couple of people on here..

not that it isn't true, just something many people are mentioning

Im not a big Bennett fan. Missed the first half of the Titans game but was listening on my sirius radio. I remember the announcers saying that Bennett dropped a ball with no defenders near him in the first quarter that may have been an easy score(did this happen?). The reason I ask is because I have not seen any posts that refer to this extra drop.

If Bennett is owning up to it, he's doing the right thing as a teammate. Obviously each guy is going to blame themselves, and that's what you want.

Kudos to Bennett for putting the ownest [sp] on himself and not throwing his QB under the bus.

I'm definitely not a Bennett fan but that one they called a drop was not a drop. The only way Bennett could have caught that ball was to dive for it and he would have lost yardage doing so. Romo was under pressure and lobbed it out to him but led him a little too much. This is probably due to his (Bennett's) ankle injury slowing him down.

Step 1: Blame Romo.

Step 2: After you've blamed Romo, immediately claim you're not really in fact blaming Romo it's just that you think it's Romo's fault.

Step 3: Get defensive when people point out that you're blaming Romo for something that wasn't Romo's fault, and then claim that "Romo doesn't get blamed for anything around here !!", without a hint of irony.

Thanks for clearing that up for me...Bennett kills me. Dude has same body type and physical skills as Jermichael Finley but we have yet to see him use them.:bang2:

I also think the second INT was on Bennett too. There is no way you let someone pick that pass off after seeing it get tipped. He didn’t attack the ball, just stood in place and tried to body catch it. Very poor job on his part on both plays.

Who's fault was it when he threw the INT to Witten?. Seems to me like Romo's never thrown and INT that was his fault.

According to MacMahon:

Romo’s second interception was also intended for Bennett, but the tight end didn’t have a chance to make a play on a pass that was tipped at the line of scrimmage by defensive end Dave Ball, whom left tackle Doug Free failed to cut-block.

Romo needs to put it higher and not as deep. This takes the two defenders that played him deep out and allowing Bennett and a 5"10 corner to go up for a jump ball at the 3 yard-line.

In the Bears game a ball bounced off of Witten's shoulder pads for an interception. He should have made that catch.

Oh he's thrown INTs that where his fault. Every QB has thrown INTs that were his fault.

The problem is we have idiot fans who believe it's Romo's fault when a teammate fumbles a ball or let's a ball clank off of both hands because Romo had the audacity to throw it to them and asked them to do what other NFL players typically do. Emotional, reactionary fans typically always blame the QB for everything.

It wasn't an easy catch, but it's one a good TE has to make. Hopefully Bennett will be that one day, but I have my doubts.

When i saw the replay last night, it looks like Bennett gets his arms on the ball. It did not look like a clean INT. I think he should have made a better effort on a tipped ball.
