By Calvin Watkins

Austin has been inconsistent this year. He grabbed 20 passes for 288 yards with one touchdown the first two weeks of the season.

Defenses are showing Austin a variety of coverages this year, from man-to-man, to Cover 2, and he's still having a pretty good year. He ranks 17th in the league in catches with 36.

Austin said finding a groove with Jon Kitna won't be a problem.

"We've been practicing the last couple of years together," Austin said. "Even though I’m out there with Tony a lot, I go out there with the scout team sometimes. A lot of guys work with the scout team and we run with all the quarterbacks. Our timing, I don’t feel like, will be an issue."

Austin has allowed 2 perfect passes from Romo to go right thru his hands; both would have been certain TDs. He also fumbled another good pass but as he was turning the opponent grabbed it away; result it was ruled an INT but should have been a fumble on Austin. Love Austin and think he's a very good & one of the best WR in the NFL. Also believe his presence causes our opponents to focus on him to the advantage of RWilliams & Dez. But Austin has made at least 3 mistakes, not counting 1-2 drop passes this year. He needs to keep his focus on catching the ball into his hands & on nothing else.

Heck his numbers might even improve if Kitna doesn't spread the ball around.

Austin will fix what's wrong and perform, I don't expect anything less from him honestly... One of my favorite players in the NFL.

Wow, this is refreshing!!! I'm so tired of all the players that tell you they think their production will go down...
