Talks have started with draft picks
http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys
July, 14, 2010 Jul 1410:01AM CTEmail Print Comments By Tim MacMahonWith 10 days to go before training camp, the Cowboys are in discussions with the agents of their draft picks.

The Cowboys typically wait for the market to settle and try to sign their picks just before training camp. They're taking that approach again this year, but it's complicated a bit by the fact that the Cowboys and Bengals will be the first teams to start camp.

It's likely that some of the late-round picks will sign this week or early next week, allowing the front office to focus on negotiations with Dez Bryant and Sean Lee in the days before camp opens in San Antonio.

The Cowboys have a pool of $3.417 million to sign their six picks.

I'm glad the Cowboys no longer have prolonged rookie holdouts. I remember Danny Noonan's agent getting mad at Gil Brandt because Brandt went behind his back and called Noonan's mom to try to get him to sign.

Interesting. Apparently, Danny now works for a financial planning company.

Well he could have promised him a pair of boots/shoes and then took it out of his paycheck. :D

So I guess that means Dez WON'T be getting a huge contract. Go figure.

Interesting that there's no salary cap but there is a rookie cap.

That doesn't sound like much.
