IRVING, Texas -- Demarcus Lawrence grew up in Aiken, South Carolina, and while there wasn’t a NFL team in the city, there was just one pro team to root for: the Dallas Cowboys. When asked why the Cowboys are his favorite team, Lawrence said simply, “my dad. He’s the head of the household and somebody can’t stay in this house unless they are a Cowboys fan.” Lawrence and his family got their wish when the Cowboys traded up in the second round to grab him with the 34th overall pick.
