IRVING, Texas -- Dez Bryant couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as he scrolled through his Twitter mentions in the aftermath of the Dallas Cowboys' season-opening loss. The vicious hit San Francisco strong safety Antoine Bethea delivered to Bryant’s back inspired some creative work by Internet jokesters. “Throw up the W,” one wise guy wrote underneath a photo of Bryant with both arms up and his neck whiplashed back, a play off of his “Throw up the X” end zone celebration.
