The Jets are an irrelevant franchise, the cheatriots were bums prior to the dubious SB win over the Rams. I'm so sick of ESPN yet can't stop watching.

I can't wait to see that game. I wish Brady was playing in it though; it would make it even greater.

I don't know if it'd even come close to the top 5.

Well according to the world wide leader, the Pats are the greatest franchise ever, Belichek's the greatest coach ever, Kraft is the best owner ever, and Brett Favre is Jesus.

I can think of many other rivalries that are better than Jets/Patriots. I just have to keep reminding myself that a New England based network will have a bit of bias.

I watch ESPN's game coverage, and that is it. And even that I do because they play the only NFL game at that time (MNF), and often a college game I want to see.

College Gameday, and most of their college announcers are pretty good. I can't stand Lou Holtz, and I think their main MNF team isn't even as good as Mike and Mike and Mike.

The Sports Center "story" they ran last night about Hasselhoff pretty much sums up the network as a whole.

Other than Monday Night games (on mute) I haven't watched BSPN in years. It's not that hard to quit really. I haven't missed a thing.

Did anyone really think that wouldn't be #1 on ESPN's list?

Just consider the source and move on.

FFS, this isn't ESPN's list. Don't be so dramatic. It's some AFC East blogger's opinion. Big deal.

For the record, it's not even the AFC East's biggest rivalry. As a NYC resident and a partial Jets fan, I hate the Dolphins way more.

Yeah I was about to say the same thing. Most Jets fans I know view the Dolphins as their biggest rival, not New England. But most intense? AFC East blogger or no blogger, it doesn't even touch the intensity of ALL the NFC East rivalries.

How can it be a real rivalry when the Jets havn't given the Pats any competition in centuries. The Pats vs Colts is 100 times better. I didn't even know they were rivals. To me it's like the when the Cardinals where in our division. Sure we played them every year and we kicked their *** most of the time but I never once considered them a rival.

The media has been all over the Pats this week and it's understandable since they're playing God this week and it's their first game without the Golden Boy.It will be interesting to see whether the level of Patriots round the clock coverage continues if they're say 4-6.

Several years ago I would have said no way. However ESPN brought up the ridiculous question of whether the NFL could survive without Brady and gone completely off the deep end with Boston sports it makes me wonder. I don't think they realize the vast majority of people absolutely despise the Patriots, but they actually seem to think they're beloved.
