a Commanders win this weekend, tonight. "They are hitting on all cylinders, defense is blablablabla" I almost threw up. and they were saying it in the generic East Coast Sports Talk Radio voice, that they think makes them knowledgable sounding. aaaaahhhhh Rhome, you ruined it for all sports.

I'm predicting a Commanders win as well. I don't think we'll play starters very long. But they'll be playing for the post-season.

That was Mark Schlereth (sp?) who said that. Pretty sure he played for the Skins', he's gonna say that when the Skins' have a winning streak. Complete BS though.

Though i do think the Commanders will win because we wont play our starters the whole game.

ESPN also predicted that the Buffalo Bills would beat Dallas in the Super Bowl. Twice.

One has to take what they say with a grain of salt.

Let me put it this way - according to Vegas, the Cowboys are 9 point underdogs. This is the first game that we have been underdogs since the Patriots game.

I love the Cowboys in this one, by the way. I'm not sure that we'll win the game with our second stringers, but I like us to keep it within a touchdown for sure.

Absolutely. If they get a lead in the 2nd half, they're going to be hanging on for dear life, running the clock out and such. There's no way they'd get cute and they're not really that much better than our backups.

Its kind of easy to pick a team fighting for their lives over a team that will be coasting.

Even with our backups in second half, I still like our chances. It will be close but I think we pull it out at the end, but that's just me.

The whole "resting the starters" angle has me confused. Washington has about 7 players on IR, including 4 starters (Thomas, Jansen, McIntosh, Rogers). And of course, we all acknowledge the loss of Sean Taylor.

They're starting Todd Collins at QB.

They've got other players, like Prioleau, nursing injuries.

By my count, over 1/4 of their starters are already missing.

Do we really think that little of our depth to think that we have no shot to beat this opponent, even with the proverbial one hand tied behind our back?

I guess it comes down to a Romo/Brad Johnson thing.

Our starting corners will be Reeves/Ball and Nate Jones. Courtney Brown will also be seeing some significant time.

Of course they're going to win!

You have a point, but we have already adjusted and gotten comfortable with the 'new' guys coming in and scheme appropriately.

You guys have a shot, and i dont mean that in a condecending way at all. Sadly, after the past few years, the skins aren't avored the way they are now very often, so it makes me a bit nervous as we "should" win. But gibbs always motivates his players.

I agree with you!!! Everybody thinks the Foreskins are rolling but we are gonna beat them with our backup. It's gonna be a DEVASTATING loss for them...

Could happen, but nobody's #2's are better than anybody's #1's. The 49ers #1's would probably beat the patriots' #2's. There is usually a fairly high drop off between your first and second stringers.

At any rate, this should be a good game. Any boys/skins game is ALWAYS close, and I expect nothing different this time around.

I think we're gonna only rest our banged up starters. Most guys will play and you guys are over looking one thing.........their quarterback is Todd Collins!:lmao2: :lmao: :laugh1: :lmao2: :lmao: :laugh1: I mean seriously Todd Collins, I just can't take a team with him at the helm seriously

The Skins will play hard and desperate. We wont.

If we had to win this game I think we could and it would be tough.... to think that we are gonna beat the Skins with backups and so-so effort.... I just dont see it.

UNLESS Brad comes out on a mission. HE is the wildcard.
