Though they have the same 2-1 record as the Cowboys and Commanders, the Eagles have the best chance to win the NFC...

ESPN Football Power Index - 2017

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.

Great measuring tool. Not.

42-17 loss vs. Denver is clearly affecting the small sample size. If Philly hadn't of scored a TD at the end to cut the 27-13 lead to 27-20 at KC, the gap b/w Dallas/Philthy would be closer. It's 3 games, and I'm not surprised by this current chart.

Football Outsiders, whose methods are more in depth, currently have the following for NFCE %s to win:
DAL 34.1%
PHI 32.1%
WASH 31.7%

Basically a dead heat, which is what I think is the current most accurate conclusion.

maybe they based it on how many div wins so far?

I think SOS plays a factor in it (based on the FPIs of other teams). Eagles have played a tougher slate to date.

Kinda dumb to try to predict it this early in the season but I would think it would be because they are 2-0 in the division and the fact that the Denver game is a home game for them and a road (loss already) game for us, which has traditionally been a significant difference in schedule strength for that opponent. Additionally they play the Panthers and Bears while we play the Seahawks and the Packers.

Edit: I think they play Seahawks as well, should be Falcons instead.

Loss of Sproles is huge loss to the Eagles. Defense is not as great as first advertised and they have no run game. Good luck they are not winning nothing except for a new bare cabinet. :igglestrophy: :espn:

I agree on the loss of Sproles. I think that was a big loss for them and it's not getting enough notice.

Early last season, the Eagle looked really good but they withered away mid-season. I think they're a better team in 2017 but Carson Wentz Palmer will cost them the season.

That's just how I like it. Put the Skins up there to. See how it pans out.
