IRVING, Texas -- Rod Marinelli was the Detroit Lions' head coach from 2006-08. Scott Linehan was the Lions offensive coordinator from 2009-12. Today, the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator and offensive playcaller get to go against their former team in the wild-card round of the playoffs, but there is no feeling of revenge for either coach. Marinelli’s tenure ended with the NFL’s only 0-16 record. He returned as a defensive coordinator with the Chicago Bears, coaching against the Lions for five straight years, so there is nothing new about seeing Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson.
