Former Cy Young closer Eric Gagne alleges in his new biography that 80 percent of his Los Angeles Dodgers teammates were using performance-enhancing drugs.

Gagne won the 2003 Cy Young while converting all 55 of his save opportunities and posting a 1.20 ERA. He had elbow surgery in 2005 and signed as a free agent with the Texas Rangers before the 2006 season. Gagne signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers in 2010, but was released during spring training and hasn't pitched in the major leagues since 2008.

Sadly, nothing like this is a shocker anymore . . . . . . . .

Why is it be sad? These guys are trying to get the most out of their bodies. Isn't that what we want them to do? The sport was very popular when thick necked guys were jacking every other pitch out of the park.

Gagne pretty much said what Jose Canseco and Ken Caminiti said for years. For what it's worth I used to be friends with a couple guys that were close to Ken Caminiti and they said despite his substance abuse issues Ken was a guy that when he said something they believed him that he wasn't the type to fib or lie.
When it comes to baseball during the steroid era I give no one the benefit of the doubt.
