A follow up question directly to Garrett. Are you motivated? Can you make in-game adjustments that suit your personnel and call smarter plays for given situations? Can you start talking into your headset to your team (the other coaches) and talk to your players on the sideline instead of standing there like a clueless idiot? It starts like that Jason. Get involved and make smart decisions and talk to your guys sitting on the bench with heads down. Lift them up. You become motivated to the extent that filters to your team and coaches your team can see visibly that you care. That's how you motivate.

This is just solid coaching. A few slogans and highlight video. You might want to actually show them the Ram game??!!

You mean actually watch tape of the opponent and plan for them? Nah...I doubt any team does that.

This is just so embarrassing, like we weren't the laughing stock of the league before this.

Got to show a dam film of "this is how you properly tackle" and "this is how you properly block".

This is the type of stuff you show 3rd graders who just signed up for pee wee football.

That's why coaching is so important sure they have all been doing it for years but you still need to drill it relentlessly and instill it in your team again and again. If you are excellent at the basics and you care to "do them in-game" and you care about winning hell that's 90% of all you need right there. That's what Jimmy Johnson did he drilled the players on the basics until they were mastered ,second nature, and done with a zeal.

Good point.............that is the problem with Garrett, after 10 years on the job his players should have the basics drilled down to a T.

If you have to show a video to your players on how to properly play the game and you have been coach 10 yrs, that is EPIC FAIL.

They're calling this "high school" on GMFB.

I am waiting for the flash cards to come out in meetings. Garrett:
" P is for pass - gas"
"R is for rush - to the locker room"
"I is for intercept - your next text"
"B is for block - party in Zack Martin's neighborhood"
"T is for tackle - for going fishing"
