IRVING, Texas -- Not that it should be surprising given his day-to-day mantra, but Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett is not about to overreact to his team’s 28-17 season-opening loss to the San Francisco even if the first 2014 impressions were less than flattering. “I think sometimes people on the outside overreact to it,” Garrett said. “One of the things we talk about with our players all the time is that they’re going to write the history of the National Football League on a Monday morning every week, so whatever happens after Week 1, they’re going to keep trying to project that into the future, both good and bad.
