ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Cowboys made the difficult decision to let go of their franchise sack leader, DeMarcus Ware, two weeks ago. The Cowboys decided they couldn't afford the salary-cap hit ($16 million in 2014), and while coach Jason Garrett called Ware one of the best players in franchise history, he understood the reasons for cutting Ware loose. "DeMarcus Ware is one of the best players the franchise has ever had," Garrett told ESPNDallas Tuesday afternoon from the NFL owners meetings.
