Henry's not headed to Dallas

May 8, 2008 5:15 PM

Posted by ESPN.com's Matt Mosley

Former Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry told our James Walker on Wednesday that he was interested in playing for either the Saints or Cowboys if the league doesn't suspend him again. The Cowboys seem like an obvious fit since they just traded for another West Virginia great, Pacman Jones.

Sadly, though, Jerry Jones has decided that Tank Johnson and Pacman are the only reclamation projects he can take on right now, according to one high-ranking source at Valley Ranch.

"I don't there's any interest in the guy at this point," said the source.

Henry would actually be a nice complement to T.O. on the field. Henry hasn't caught a lot of passes, but when he does, he often ends up in the end zone.

Thank God. He has talent but not much between the ears.

No interest because they dont know about a suspensions yet and for how long. If by chance he didnt get suspended... Jerry would sign him.

Yes he would

Now this is a guy I won't want. Like it said you can only have so many of these guys, plus I disagree that he would be good opposite TO he is more of a #3 WR. Granted he played behind Johnson and TJ their should be no interest, not worth the headache.

Maybe if ESPN hypes him up enough for being a criminal you guys will want him.

To whom do you refer with "you guys"?

p.s.

"Head" and "Henry" do not belong in the same sentence. Just sayin'.

I think Miles Austin has just as much talent, people keep sleeping on this kid. He's entering his 3rd year and ready to shine...

While Austin is head and shoulders above Henry in character, he does not have the talent of Henry. From a pure football standpoint, Henry is a talented, young WR. Austin can't even be the 3rd WR on this team unless it's due to injury.

I guess Dallas will find out this season...

henry will not head to dallas....

just sayin...

He's going to be suspended so it's not worth the argument over, IMO.

If he wasn't going to be would Jerry look at him? Probably. I wouldn't rule that out then.

And Austin has one fundamental issue working against him, as a reciever, that will keep him from breaking out this year.

He can't catch.

Last I checked that's a fairly important part of being a reciever.
